The MANHATTAN features a 17-inch laminated spruce top and laminated flame maple back and sides. The tone is very big and open, bright and acoustic; the preference of many modern jazz greats and purists and similar in construction to modern instruments costing several times more (Benedetto and Sadowsky, for instance make laminate models) Another added advantage to laminate is increased resistant to feedback and less maintenance requirements, which makes the Manhattan a great multi-purpose jazz performance guitar. Ebony fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece and finger rest and bone nut. It represents the new wave of design while not forgetting the traditions of jazz guitars. Fingerboard, pick guard, Bridge, Tailpiece, volume knob and tuners are made from Ebony for elegant beauty and playability.
